SRM Sportive Challenge Ride London 2015

tandemNigel Moore successfully undertook a tandem ride on Ride London 2015 with Paralympian 2012 Gold Medallist Rower, Naomi Riches MBE.  tandem

They originally borrowed a tandem from , Charlotte’s Tandems Charity and had mechanical back up from Steve Tolmie (Cytec 2 Qualified), Marlow Riders, to check over the bike.

They secured support from British Cycling and Wiggle, the on-line retailer and have managed to raise nearly £5,000 for Cycling Projects Charity,  Wheels for All to help set up  a Cycling Hub for disabled people at Marlow Riders cycling club.

 

As you  can see from the photos it was a mixture of hard work and great fun!

Recent events of note:

• Chair of County Sports 2014 Awards panel
• Supported local club to gain FA Charter Standard Community Club accreditation
• Chair of local Chiltern and South Bucks Sport and Physical Activity Network 2014 Club Forum
• Nigel completed the Raid Pyrenees in September, cycling 450km along the Pyrenees from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, covering over 13,000m of ascent in 4 ½ days! And also earlier in 2014 The Fred Whitton Challenge in the Lake District – definitely not one for the faint hearted.
